Directive 2011/65/EU (called RoHS II)The European Commission has published RoHS directives to restrict the use of hazardous substances in products intended for the EU market. Directive 2015/863/EU amends Directive 2011/65/EU (known as RoHS II) by adding 4 hazardous substances to the previous 6 substances. Below is the list of substances covered by these Directives along with the maximum permitted concentration (by weight): Lead (Pb): 0.1% Mercury (Hg): 0.1% Cadmium (Cd): 0.01% Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+):0.1% Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB): 0.1 % Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE): 0.1% Additional 4 substances ((EU) 2015/863); Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP):0.1% Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP):0.1% Dibutyl phthalate (DBP): 0.1% Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP):0.1%.
